ALL THINGS NEW! is a collaborative project bringing together Newcastle artists to create an alternative Christmas album to celebrate, deconstruct and reinterpret sacred Christmas music. For the musicians, this has been an exploratory journey – having the opportunity to try out new arrangements, working with new musical partners and wrestling with the themes within the music – themes of joy, celebration, vulnerability, sacrifice and hope. For those producing the album, there has often been the question, "Will it be worth it?", "Will it come together in time?". And there has been plenty of fun recording in the gallery after hours. This is a token of the adventure that this project has been. Thank you for being part of it. Happy Christmas!
